Using one set of notes

Write concise notes once, in a format that serves both: key concepts, formulas, diagrams, solved examples and common mistakes. Add a margin mark for "board point" and "entrance trick". This avoids double work and makes final revision faster.

Handling practical exams and projects

Plan board practicals and projects early in the school calendar so they do not clash with mock tests. Keep a small checklist of what is due each month.

Know when to adjust

If mock scores stay flat for a month, change method, not just hours. Analyse mistakes, get help on weak chapters and protect sleep. A counsellor can help you reassess goals if pressure becomes too high.

Critical months

Two months before boards, shift towards board writing practice. After boards, return fully to entrance mocks.

Frequently asked questions

Do board marks matter for JEE?

Eligibility criteria for some admissions include board marks; check rules.

Should I skip school for coaching?

Not usually; attendance and board performance matter.

How to avoid burnout?

Sleep, exercise, breaks and realistic targets.

Is it okay to give boards priority?

Yes, especially in the final weeks before board exams; most toppers do this and return to mocks afterwards.
