A planned city with planned choices
Navi Mumbai was built as a planned city, and many families here plan education carefully too. The region has a dense cluster of private universities and colleges in Nerul, Kharghar, Kamothe and Panvel. With the new international airport, the port at JNPA and growing data-centre and logistics parks, the job market around Navi Mumbai is changing fast. That makes it a good time to think beyond the usual three or four courses.
Education options in the region (examples)
| Field | Examples |
|---|---|
| Medicine and health | D. Y. Patil (Nerul), Terna Medical College, MGM Institute of Health Sciences |
| Engineering | Terna Engineering College, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, SIES and other colleges |
| Management and commerce | Several university campuses and University of Mumbai-affiliated colleges |
Private and deemed universities can be expensive. Compare total fees, approvals and placement data, and do not decide only on campus looks.
