Polytechnic entrance tips
Polytechnic entrances usually test Class 10 level maths and science. Revise NCERT or state board basics, practise previous papers and manage time. In Bihar, follow BCECEB notices for DCECE dates and eligibility; other states publish their own notices.
Scholarship exams worth knowing
NMMSS is taken in Class 8 for a scholarship through Class 12 (as per scheme rules). Several states and private organisations run talent searches. These build exam confidence and can provide financial support.
Olympiads and talent searches
Mathematics and science olympiads develop deep problem-solving skills. Strong performers may reach national and international stages. Even without winning, preparation strengthens fundamentals for JEE, NEET and other exams later.
Making a Class 9–10 exam calendar
List the exams relevant to you, such as NMMSS (if still eligible), olympiads, state polytechnic entrances and any school admission tests for Class 11. Note registration dates, as many close months before the exam. Balance these with board preparation: one or two well-chosen exams are better than many half-prepared ones.
