Choosing your main and backup exams
Do not register for every exam. Each one needs focused preparation and fees. A good plan is one main exam that matches your top career choice, one closely related backup (for example a state CET with JEE, or CUET with CLAT), and possibly one different-field option if your assessment shows strong interest there.
A sample calendar approach
Most entrance applications open between November and March, and exams run from January to June. Make a single sheet with each exam's application window, exam date, result date and counselling date, and set reminders. Missing an application deadline is the most common avoidable mistake.
Universities and defence
| Exam | For |
|---|---|
| CUET-UG | Central and many state/private universities |
| UPSC NDA | National Defence Academy |
