What architects actually do
Architects design buildings and spaces: homes, schools, hospitals, offices, public spaces and entire neighbourhoods. The work mixes art and science. One day you are sketching ideas with a client, the next you are solving how a staircase meets a beam, checking building rules or visiting a construction site in the sun. It is creative, but it is also detailed, technical and deadline-driven.

Frequently asked questions
Is NATA or JEE Paper 2 better?
Both lead to B.Arch. JEE Paper 2A is needed for NITs and other JoSAA institutes; NATA is accepted by most other architecture colleges. Many students take both.
Can a commerce student do B.Arch?
Generally no, because B.Arch eligibility requires mathematics (and usually physics and chemistry). Commerce students can consider interior design or other design courses.
How long is B.Arch?
Five years, including a period of practical training.
General guidance only. Exam dates, eligibility, fees and scholarship amounts change every year: always check the official website before you apply.
