MHT-CET and CAP rounds
MHT-CET is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for engineering, pharmacy and agriculture. Seats are allotted through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds. Your option form order matters, so plan it carefully with cut-off data.
Fee support
Maharashtra offers scholarships and fee reimbursement schemes through the MahaDBT portal, depending on category and income. Check eligibility early and keep documents ready.
Commerce and Arts in Maharashtra
Mumbai and Pune have strong commerce and arts colleges. Popular options include B.Com, BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies), BAF/BBI (accounting and banking), BMM (mass media) and BA in economics, psychology or political science. Many admit on merit through university processes; some use CUET.
Planning tips
- Prepare for boards and MHT-CET together; much syllabus overlaps.
- Decide whether JEE is also a goal.
- Keep caste, income and domicile certificates ready before CAP rounds.
