You cannot "study" for most of it
Interest, personality and learning-style sections have no right answers. Trying to give "correct" answers only makes the result less useful. Answer the way you really are.
What you can practise
Aptitude sections are timed and have right answers. A little familiarity helps:
- Solve a few number series, percentages and ratios.
- Try logical puzzles and pattern questions.
- Read short passages and answer questions.
- Practise rotating shapes in your mind (spatial reasoning).
On the day
- Sleep well and eat before the test.
- Use a laptop or phone with stable internet in a quiet room.
- Keep 60–70 minutes free without interruptions.
- Read instructions for each section.
- Do not spend too long on one aptitude question.
Mindset before you start
Remind yourself that this test is about understanding you, not judging you. There is no "good" or "bad" personality and no shameful interest. The more honest you are, the more useful your report will be.
Tips for each section
| Section | Tip |
|---|---|
| Interests | Think of what you enjoy doing, not what you are good at. |
| Personality | Answer how you usually behave, not how you behave on your best day. |
| Aptitude | Skip a hard question and return if time allows. |
| Learning style | Think of how you actually learn, for example from videos or by doing. |
| Emotional quotient | Recall real situations at school or home. |
After the test
Read the summary page first, then share it with your parents. Write down questions. If you have booked counselling, bring the questions to the session. Keep the report safe; it is useful again when choosing courses and colleges.
Mistakes to avoid
- Letting parents answer for you.
- Choosing the middle option for everything.
- Taking the test late at night when tired.
- Searching answers online during aptitude sections.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pause the test?
Short breaks between sections are fine, but one sitting gives the best result.
Should parents sit with the student?
Parents can help with setup, but the student should answer alone.
Is a phone enough?
Yes, but a laptop or tablet is more comfortable for longer tests.
