Career decisions for Delhi NCR students
Delhi NCR (Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad) has India's highest concentration of top universities, coaching institutes and corporate offices. Students compete for Delhi University colleges through CUET, prepare for JEE and NEET, and explore law, design, media and management. The range is huge; good counselling helps you focus.
What to look for in a career counsellor
When you look for the best career counselling in Delhi NCR, use this checklist for any counsellor:
- Do they start with a proper assessment of interests, aptitude and personality?
- Do you get a written report to keep?
- Do they understand Delhi admissions as well as national exams?
- Will they meet parents too, and answer questions honestly, including "this path may not suit you"?
- Do they support you again at results and admission time?

Boards and entrance exams to know
CBSE is the most common board. CUET-UG is essential for Delhi University and other central universities. JEE Main/Advanced (with JAC Delhi counselling for Delhi state engineering colleges), NEET-UG, AILET and CLAT, NIFT and UCEED are other key exams.
Careers linked to the local economy
Gurugram and Noida host IT, consulting, finance and start-ups; Delhi has government, policy, media and legal institutions. Careers in software, data, consulting, finance, law, public policy, journalism and design are especially strong.
A Delhi NCR tip
Delhi University admissions depend on CUET scores and the subject combination you choose in CUET. Choose your CUET subjects carefully in Class 12, matching the courses you want, because a wrong subject choice can block a course.
How counselling works for Delhi NCR families
Our counsellors work with Delhi NCR families online through video or phone sessions. The student takes the career assessment for their class online, the counsellor studies the 45-page report, and then student and parents meet the counsellor in a 1:1 session. You leave with a written plan: stream or course, entrance exams, backups and a timeline.
