Bhagalpur: silk city, study city
Bhagalpur is known across India for its silk, and for the ancient Vikramshila university nearby. Today it is an important education centre for eastern Bihar, with a university, a medical college, an engineering college and an IIIT. Many students still feel they must go to Patna or Kota to succeed. That is not always true.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to go to Kota or Patna for JEE or NEET coaching?
Not necessarily. Many students now prepare from home with online courses and local teachers. Moving makes sense only if the student is ready to live alone and the family can afford it.
Can I get counselling in Hindi?
Yes. Sessions can be held in Hindi or English.
What is UGEAC?
UGEAC is Bihar's undergraduate engineering admission counselling, based on JEE Main ranks, for state engineering colleges.
